it's 10:51.

It's 10:51. In 9 minutes, I'm going to be in my bed, surrounded by my thoughts only.

Toss and turn.

Think about the events from earlier.

Remind myself of how I barely touched on my music lecture.

Let my imagination go free.

Lay awake for another hour.

Stress myself out. "Look how much school you still have to complete."

Force myself to relax.

Fall asleep.

Tonight though? Tonight will be different. I'm determined not to stress, not to lay awake allowing my mind to dictate my stress & worry level. I will lie down, close my eyes, let God control my thoughts and fall asleep in peace.

    This is beautiful. I too, lay and think at night letting my thoughts fill my mind with wory or discouragement. BUT I'm learning to pray and trust God. I want to lie down in peace because Jesus is in control. I have no reason to fret or worry. Peace. Peace in Christ. Thank you for writing this.
