In These Past Two Weeks...

I realized...

That acting...

Is...

my passion...

It's what I'm made to do, and I love doing it. I am a stage person.

Yes, these are pictures from The Shakespeare Festival. I have to admit, I was extremely nervous about doing this. Two weeks ago, on Monday, I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know if the instructors were going to be over the board strict, I didn't know if the other students would be completely snotty, I didn't know how many students there would even be, I didn't know what the training would be like, I just didn't know. As my mom and I walked up to the building doors, my stomach got in a complete knot. I got even more nervous than I had been for the ride there. After we checked in, I suddenly felt like my five year old self again. I became a bit shy and I asked Mom if she would wait with me until it was time for the classes to start.

However, when Mom had to leave the building for a second, a sweet girl came up immediately and introduced herself. Her name was Cali (I LOVE how it's spelled!) and we were friends from the start.

Cali did this last year, so she gave me a heads up on what to expect.

As it turns out, our director wasn't over the board strict (she was strict though, but in a good way), none, I repeat none of the kids were the least bit snotty, and there were only sixteen kids total (YES!).

The first day of training......AWESOME.

The past two weeks we did so much fun but useful training for acting. We learned voice and text work, stage combat, clowning, how to stand when you're on stage, and so much more!

The play we had been rehearsing was The Tempest by Shakespeare. My character was a spirit called an 'Ariel' and four other girls had this part too!

We did so many things...

The Thriller being one of them. And I think we just might have had Hitler *excuse me* Stalin for our choreagrapher.

Yes, we sure did modernize The Tempest!

Meet Michael Huie, our clowning teacher (he was TONS of fun to work with!)

Calliope told me how to make lip gloss with Vaseline and fruit punch powder! Pronounced: (kuh-lie-uh-pea)

I had a great time doing The Shakespeare Festival and can't wait to do it again next year! (Hopefully)

Acting is what I love doing and I would like to become big someday and be in a movie, TV series, etc. Sure, go right ahead and tell me that it probably won't happen and that I have no chance of becoming big, but I think that it just could happen someday and I'll do whatever it takes to get there (as long as it's moral).
