in which i delete my facebook + pause from blogger

I can't believe I did it. But I did. I actually deleted my facebook. And honestly, I feel so much better now that I did. It isn't permanently deleted, just temporarily deactivated until say...tech week of Annie Get Your Gun? Every day I have been checking it nonstop and it has been distracting me from my school work and becoming far too addictive. So...one by one, I deleted each friend so that when I activate my account again, I will only friend people I "know" (with the exception of blogger friends). Conclusion: I am taking about a four week break from facebook.

And while we are on the topic of deleting things...

I have decided to delete Bella Vita as well. This was hard for me to decide, but it just has to go for the time being. I will reopen it up in a few weeks.

Juuust kidding.

However, I do not know how often I will be posting. School + rehearsals for Annie Get Your Gun take up the majority of my day and it is hard to find time to squeeze in posting. I could be posting anywhere from twice a week, to once a week, to maybe once every week and a half. Have no fear though, I will be posting regularly after the show is over.

If you would, please keep me in your prayers as I go through this busy cemester!

hello there, i am an authentic person

Alright lovelies. I am linking up with my dear blogger friend, Abigail Kraft's, authentic people blog party. Sounds like an amusing shindig, no?

For those of you who do not know me {or know me well}, my name is Anna Gray; though you are more than welcome to call me simply Anna or AG! I would like to start off saying "Welcome to bella vita!" and I am just tickled pink that you are here! Seriously. I am.

I am a Christian fourteen year old home-schooler and adore photography, baking, acting, and of course, blogging.

Enough with my rambling and on with the interrogation (wink, wink).

What's the nerdiest/geekiest/weirdest thing about you?
Oh me, oh my. There is a vast amount of nerdy/geeky/weird things about me. Well let us see here...I literally run through our house. The majority of the time I never walk to get to a place in my home. Also, my "hang out" clothes are a pair of rompers. What can I say? They are comfortable. Oh and if I am bored, I get out some old Barbie dolls of mine and do *ahem* engagement photos with them.

If you could live in a fictional universe from any book, movie, or television show, what would it be?

Once Upon a Time. Hands down.

Little or big, practical or frivolous, what is one of your favorite items in your house?

It is itty bitty, but honestly...it is the funky little duct tape bow on my hamster's cage. He is a boy, but what can I say? The bow spices his cage up a little

Do you like animated movies? If so, what is your favorite?
Heck yes, I do! Shrek is my favorite because it is just plain adorable. How can you possibly turn down a green ogre with teeny little ears?

What is your favorite household chore?

Probably laundry. It takes less than five minutes (the majority of the time) and there is just something about pouring that liquid detergent that makes me feel rather happy. Dorky, eh? Neh.

What's your favorite thing to get at Starbucks (or your favorite coffee shop)?

Did someone just say Starbucks?! Goodness, my favorite coffee would most certainly be the iced white chocolate mocha. It tastes like pure Heaven. If Heaven has a taste.

What is your favorite pizza topping?

Honestly, I am not that outgoing when it comes to pizza. I typically stick with just plain 'ole cheese. I will eat other toppings, but usually do not choose to do so.
Waffles or pancakes?

Oof, this is a tricky one. It depends on what mood I'm in. Pancakes are a staple at our house, so I will just go with pancakes {chocolate chip pancakes, to be exact}!

Do you like to play games? If so, what is your favorite?

Why yes - yes I do! My favorite would have to be either Life or Sorry. Both are such fun!
Have you ever let anyone win a game?

Heeeeck no. *grin*
Have you ever dyed your hair?

Nope! I do not plan to either. Ok - so maybe once I begin experiencing grey/white hairs I will. Maybe.
Do you make your bed every morning?

Yes, I do. However, if turns into a horrible mess once I start school.

Picasso or Norman Rockwell?
Picasso! Quirky, abstract, funky art...I like it.

Do you like carpet, tile, or hardwood floors?

Hardwood flooring is shiny...therefore I like it.
If you could put one thing in a safe under your bed, what would it be?

Sasha, my D3000. And my lens. And the stuffed animal I have had since I was five years old. Whoops, that was three things. Oh well.

What's your favorite condiment?

Parsley. Not only does it smell good but it tastes oh-so-heavenly!

Have you ever thrown up on someone (excluding when you were a child)?

Heck NO. Most of you know that I have an extreme phobia of vomiting. Seriously. The last time I vomited was when I was nine years old. Let's just say that I don't handle puking nor the sight of puking very well (for example, I had a panic attack on a bus when a girl in front of me starting spewing.). Someone has almost thrown up on me though (when I was eleven years old).

What was the last thing that made you laugh?

Um...Um...I simply cannot recall.

Think fast...what's the first song that pops into your head?

Bad Romance by Lady Gaga.

pausing

As you may have noticed, I haven't been updating Bella Vita very frequently. With larger and much more challenging work loads for school, it has been harder to update. Instead of blogging out of pure enjoyment, it has felt more like an obligation to blog.

All of that to say, I am going to take a break from blogging for a little while. I may update on the weekends, but rarely during the weekdays for a little while.

I hope you all understand!

{Feel free to pray for me and school too!}

Follower Gadget Crisis

Hello lovely friends of mine! I have gotten a couple of emails and comments explaining that the follower gadget on my sidebar isn't visible; and they asked if they could still be entered into the giveaway. To everybody who has asked, yes, I will still enter you into the giveaway! No worries! However, once (or if) the follower gadget it fixed, you must follow...otherwise I will sue you and use your money to go towards Lightroom. ;)

Also, does virtually anybody know how to fix the follower gadget so that it's visible? I have checked out a couple other blogs and their follower gadgets also are not visible. If anybody knows how to solve the problem, that would be wonderful!

Have a lovely day! ♥

Have a 'Love'ly Day & Farewell!

First off, I would like to wish you all a very Happy Valentine's Day!

(Wondering about the Ariel card? It was a Valentine's Day card/Mom's way of saying 'Hope this gets you in the mood for Disney World')

And Farewell? Where in the world would I be going in the middle of February? My family and I are leaving for Disney World this week! Eeeek! Don't worry though, there will be some lovely guest bloggers to keep you all company.

So, my lovely readers...

                            Farewell!

P.S. I owe a HUGE thank you to Amanda over at Chicken Scratch Designs for installing my Accordion/Expanding sidebar menu! Look how well it matches the colors of my blog design? :)

Chic, No?

So...do you notice anything (hint, hint) different about Bella Vita? If you don't, I suggest going to get your eyes checked.

I owe a huge thank you to Olivia for designing it. She did such a wonderful job and I would highly, highly suggest her for a blog design. She was quick and gave my blog a chic and elegant look! Oh and did I mention that she is very patient with the whole process?

Click here to go to her adorable little blog designing boutique.

As for me, I haven't been up to much lately. Just doing the usual...ya know...school, home school group, searching around the web for commercial/TV auditions in Charlotte, NC (as in, hoping to audition to be a background person). Any tips for auditions or how to pursue a career in acting?

Of Hypocrites and Dramatic Bloggers...

I just finished telling my Mom about the *ahem* world of blogging and how some people are hypocrites, some people take it way too seriously, and some people miss the point of it.

First and foremost, it's a blog. A place to write your thoughts. Some people are all like, "I want my blog to be deep and all about Jesus. Enough with the silly, I am done with that." Sure, it's fine to post about Jesus and deep things; but it is also perfectly fine to post things that are silly, crazy, random, stupid, deep, and so much more. A blog is a place to let off steam, to let people know what's on your mind and going on in your life. Simply a place to post anything. Now, I will not name names, but I have seen several blogs who have taken a break from blogger and so called, "Stepped Down." I am not saying this is bad or anything (I mean if Jesus calls you to step down, then that is great if you choose to do so); but when people want their blog to be 100% about Jesus (which I'm still not saying is bad) and don't want to post anything that is remotely silly, that is stupid. Personally, I think being that dramatic over a blog is quite silly.

Then there are those who are hypocrites on blogger. I came across a blog just a couple of weeks ago that posted all of these blogging tips, and I saw that this person copied another person's tips. In the past, this person has copied the other blogger's posts; yet this same person posts all these blogging tips naming all these tips and one says "not to copy anyones' blog". HELLO?! You already HAVE copied the somebody else's blog!

I'm sorry, but there are those out there on blogger who truly miss the point of it. Oh. My. Gosh.

Once again, if you disagree, that is fine. But remember, I also have my opinion and nothing that any blogger in the world comments on here will stop me from having that opinion.

Though I do not ever post blogging tips (Since just a second ago I have decided that most blogging tips are basically pointless) I will give you one: Be yourself.

Surprise and Merry Christmas!

I got my blog redesigned! Amanda over at Chicken Scratch Designs designed it for FREE and I am in love with it! I adore the icy blues, deep purples, and you know the icky borders that were always around the photos in my posts and around my profile picture? Well they are gone! That is a big "Hurray!" I also renamed my blog 'Bella Vita.' It means Beautiful Life in Italian and I just love the way you pronounce it (Bell[uh]wheat[uh]). The original name The Anna Cabana just seemed.....I don't know......self centered? That is why I like the new title; because it does not have my name in it (though the domain name does). Feel free to grab my blogger button too and browse around. =)

------

Can you all believe the Christmas season is already here? It completely snuck up on me this year. This time of year is definitely my favorite time of the year. Hot cocoa, Christmas decorations and embellishments, a warm fire going, freezing cold weather, and let's not forget, the birth of Jesus.

What do you love about Christmas?

-----

Also, stay tuned for a giveaway right here tomorrow!

Sorry this post is....er....sloppy....I'm just excited about so much at once!
