Hi everyone! OMGOSH! I am so excited! Today I looked on the Lexington Youth Theatre Page, and I saw that my part is a Cheese Merchant. LOL! I know, I know, it doesn't sound that exciting to you all, so I'll just cry and suck eggs. Sniffle. Just kidding. But seriously, I am glad I am that part (even though practices haven't even started yet) because in Wizard of Oz I was just in the Munchkin chorus, but this year I am only with two other people...YAY! Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that.

YAY Anna!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to start somewhere and every part will get you closer to your dream! I know you'll be fantastic! Congratulations!! I'm very proud of you :)

ReplyDeleteWhen i was a Senior in High School, i tried out for a college play. It was Aladdin.
I landed a small part (a princess' attendant), but wanted the princess part soooo badly.
The ladies auditioning us said that had i done more plays, they would have given the Lead Role to me because i had the attitude they were looking for, but since i was an amateur, they were not going to give me such a huge role.
I understood. :(
Keep trying out for plays and one day you'll get a lead role!
Take pictures of rehearsals and keep us updated!
