practice makes perfect
To say that I love musical theatre would be an understatement. I really, really, really adore it. I try to soak it all in - the butterflies in my stomach, adrenalin rushing through my veins, warm lights beaming on the stage, singing & dancing, everything.
And last night? Last night was the first show for Annie Get Your Gun. Considering several people commented that it was the best show LYT has ever done, I would say it's safe to say it went very well.
This show has been a great one - I am so grateful for my role as Minnie Oakley and getting to perform with all of these wonderful actors.

hello & good-bye
As you have clearly noticed, bella vita hasn't been updated in a little over a week. Why?
My week in a nutshell...
<> Tutored in the morning and Tied up loose ends school-wise.
<> Home-school group and auditions for Annie Get Your Gun.
<> School.
<> School and callbacks for Annie Get Your Gun.
<> School and then two friends over.
<> Two friends over and then to the library.
<> Church & out to eat with my MeeMaw
<> Tutored and finished school.
<> Home-school group and parent meeting for Annie Get Your Gun.
Yes, pretty busy week. The good news though, is that I got my first speaking role in the play! My character is Minnie, one of Annie Oakley's siblings. This will be fun.
How has your week been?
Good-night. ♥

Theatre Blues
I must say, the past three and a half months have been another wonderful experience for me. The Music Man was such a fun show to be in and I truly miss each and every thing about it. However, the four show nights went G-R-E-A-T (minus feeling sick for Saturday matinee and Saturday night). With that being said, it is time to take you guys on a tour of this past week....er....a tour with photos that is.
Full view of my costume
Besties!
My Indian costume (I know, it looks like I have to pee)
Bailey (purple bow), Me, and Kiley
Intermission!
Sarah (played Amaryllis)
After the last performance which was on Sunday, we went out to Don Juan's and had a blast together!
Also, when our dressing rooms were assigned, I unexpectedly was placed with girls from about age 5 to age 12! I seriously almost started crying when I was assigned to that one. However, I prayed and prayed and PRAYED that I would be able to be moved to a different dressing room. So the next day my mom called a board member (this board member is *ahem* really negative and reminds me of Angela from The Office) and what do ya know, she let me move! Woot! I thanked God over and over. Oh goodness.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the photos and this was probably the best play I have ever been in. =)

Once Upon a Time...
There was a ten year old girl who had a spectacular dream. It was big. It was huge. It was positively perfect. Her dream was to become an actress and live in Los Angeles, California and meet lots of famous people. This girl would walk down the red carpet in a sparkly evening gown and stilettos and pose left and right for the bright, flashing lights of the paparazzi. She would adore having her picture taken from them. She knew it. This would be such a lovey life. This girl would walk down the glorious streets of Los Angeles and people would rush towards her pleading for just one autograph. This was her dream.
However, there was just one teensy tiny problem....she wasn't an actress....yet. How could she live that magnificent dream if she wasn't an actress? How would she walk down the red carpet, meet famous people, live in California, and have people beg and plead for an autograph? There was one solution.
She would start off by doing theatre. This girl's first play was The Wizard of Oz when she was eleven years old, and was cast a munchkin. Though she just loved being on stage for four nights and being in the spot light, she decided that she would never again do theatre. She was stuck in a dreadful dressing room full of nine and ten year olds. They were entirely too obnoxious, and this girl even had a cast member regurgitate right in front of her. No, she would never ever do theatre again...until...
Two years later she decided to give it another shot. The play was Cinderella and she would just give theatre one. last. chance. This girl absolutely, wholeheartedly, adored doing this play. She even got a speaking part. After the wonderful experience, she knew that she would continue to participate in the theatre no matter how horrible the experience was.
She recently auditioned for The Music Man as well and is ecstatic about what is to come of it!
This girl still dreams of living in California, walking down red carpet, having people beg and plead for autographs, meeting lots of famous people, and even have the paparazzi snap this picture and that picture.

Autumn has Arrived
Since August, I have been anxiously waiting for the season of fall to come. And finally......
It's here!
I think why I enjoy it so much too, is because it leads us to the holidays. Honestly, I don't know what my favorite part about fall is. There's just so much to enjoy! Mom brought up a good point about the season changes. She said that she thinks near the end of each season, God gets us really ready for the next (more like craving the next) so that we enjoy it more when it gets to it!
I have a couple of fall resolutions as well...
What's your favorite part(s) about the fall season?
It's here!
I must say, Autumn is probably one of my most favorite seasons. The leaves begin to change into beautiful, vibrant colors and fall down, there's a nice cool breeze, bonfires, theatre practice, the Barbecue Festival, Pumpkin Spice Coffees (Oh yes!), sweater boots, jeans, long sleeves, oh I love it! Love it, love it, love it! Here in NC, the temperature is already decreasing to a lower temperature. A perfect one. Instead of a blazing hot 90 and 100 degrees, it's between 75 and 80. All. The. Time.

I have a couple of fall resolutions as well...
- Take a day trip up to the mountains
- Get my online boutique up and running
- Have a giveaway on my blog
And this....
+ this...
= this...

What's your favorite part(s) about the fall season?
Happy Autumn, and go treat yourself to a pumpkin spice coffee!

Late Update & Some Pics
Hi friends! Sorry I haven't been posting lately. It's just I have been really busy lately (my usual excuse). But now that I have a chance to, I have some pics from the show for you all to see!
~~~~~~Tech Week Pictures~~~~~~
After the Friday night show, Bailey (yellow shirt), Kiley (long blond hair), and I headed over to Don Juan's (a really nice Mexican restaurant) to hang out and eat, while their parents/my mom talked at the table across from us.
Bailey (poofy hair) and me in our villager costumes...I guess for me my cheese merchant costume. Please ignore my bad posture
Kiley (she was a hand maiden) and me.
:-D
Rikki (green dress with white lace sleeves), Emily Grace (gray dress), Lindsey (green dress) and me (guess who). :)
Me in my extremely lacy pink ballroom gown
Let's go around the circle starting with me. Me, Lindsey, Carly (the other cheese merchant), Bailey, and Kiley (sort of lying down).
In the village selling cheese with Carly. :0)
At the ball!
Waltzing with Quentin
The finale!!!
So those are the many tech week pics that Mom took (people aren't supposed to take pics during the actual 'show nights'). Now, here are the pics Mom took after the show.
~~~~~~After the Show~~~~~~
Carson (blue sleeves), me, and Cassie. We were all in the village and in the ballroom scene.
Emily Grace and me!!! :) :) :)

The Part I have in Cinderella!!!
Hi everyone! OMGOSH! I am so excited! Today I looked on the Lexington Youth Theatre Page, and I saw that my part is a Cheese Merchant. LOL! I know, I know, it doesn't sound that exciting to you all, so I'll just cry and suck eggs. Sniffle. Just kidding. But seriously, I am glad I am that part (even though practices haven't even started yet) because in Wizard of Oz I was just in the Munchkin chorus, but this year I am only with two other people...YAY! Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that.
