Guest Post: How to Make a Bracelet With Starburst Wrappers

Hi lovely readers!! You may not know me but I blog over at Meredith Sledge Photography. I live in Virginia and I'm just a young girl who loves to photograph life. I'm a senior portrait photographer so my blog often features faces but I also blog about my days: the good, the bad, and everything in between. I love the Lord, Starbucks, my dachshund, Sweet Frog, my iPhone, and having the ability to capture life in a photograph.

I'm honored to be blogging for Anna today while she's out of town and I hope you all enjoy what I have to share!!

I don't know about you, but I love crafts and am always in need of one to do when I'm bored! :) A few years ago I learned how to make a bracelet out of Starburst wrappers, which I think is the coolest thing ever. So I decided I'd do a little DIY craft tutorial to show you how you can make your very own.

First, you'll need to buy two things: Starburst (your choice of color) and some Krazy glue. You'll find out about the glue towards the end.

The next thing you'll do is carefully unwrap your Starburst so that the wrapper does not rip. The fun part about this is that you get a little snack along the way. :) Now flatten it out as best you can and flip it over. So tough, I know....

Next, fold (hot dog style) one side into the halfway point.

Do the same thing again on the other side.

Then fold (hot dog style) the whole thing in half.

Fold (hot dog style) in half again.

Now fold (hamburger style) in half so it forms a 'V.'

Fold (hamburger style) one side to the halfway point.

Do the same thing to the opposite side. Now it looks something like this if you squeeze the folds tight enough. Are you with me? Now repeat those steps for the next wrapper.
Okay, so you have two links so far. You get to start the chain now! Put points 1 and 2 into slots A and B.

It should look something like this.

Now pull the purple link (in my case) through.

Continue to link your wrappers together.

When you have a long enough chain like the one in the above photo, you are basically done. You just need to complete the circle to make your bracelet! This is where the glue comes in. There is a way to finish it without using glue but I find this very strong glue to be much easier. Put a bit on the ends of the last wrapper on the chain and place those two ends in the very first wrapper you made. You'll need to hold it in place for a minute so it dries well. If you don't, it may fall apart. But then you're done!!! You have your very own Starburst wrapper bracelet! Thanks for reading!! Hope everyone has a great day!
