my piece of wonderland
Sunday. It was a beautiful morning out on the Petty Farm, where our church is currently settled. Though the climate was chilly, the sun shined down on us feeling pleasant and balmy. Little kids with their elfin coats zipped up amused themselves and found the outdoors quite entertaining.
Undisturbed, I relaxed, rocking back and forth in one of the sturdy rocking chairs. The view of the ponies lazily grazing, distant sound of kids squealing, and the warmth of the rich sunshine was simply peaceful.
Where is your happy place?

sunday afternoons
Sunday afternoons are for...
relaxing
watching House
reading books...
feeling the cool breeze creep through the window screens
listening to the various sounds outdoors
like kids laughing, dogs barking, birds merrily chirping, crickets humming
baking homemade oreos...
taking walks through the neighborhood at dusk
taking pictures...
viewing the colorful leaves in the neighborhood
wearing rompers for (perhaps) the last time this year
ending the day with a beautiful looking sky...
What do you do on Sunday afternoons?

Yep - I'm Back!
Wait a second, back from...where? The beach, baby! My family, aunt, uncle, cousins, and grandparents all traveled to the beautiful Holden Beach to vacation for a week. The weather couldn't have been any more perfect and we all had an absolutely wonderful time! Since I took well over 100 photos (No worries - I didn't post them all) I decided to create some collages of our trip.
These are in no certain order, but I hope you like them!
Yes sirrey-bob, I am now officially fifteen years old! For my birthday I just got a couple cards and a bag of dark chocolates because my whole entire family chipped in to pay the rest of the $150 for my camera (I honestly could have cared less if I didn't get any cards for my birthday. I am just grateful I got the rest of the money!). They all sent me the money early so I could purchase my camera before the beach!
We stayed in an adorable little oceanfront beach house. 10 people + house = :D We mainly just relaxed on the beach and porch, did a bit of shopping, and went out to eat a couple times.
I hope you dear lovely readers enjoyed these photos!

Hello Summer 2011!
I seriously cannot express to you all how extremely ecstatic I was today when I finished my last math test {of the year baby!}. I feel this sense of freedom and this large weight lifted off my shoulders. Break is officially here and there is so, so, so much in store for this Summer! I cannot even begin to explain all what I will be doing.
the lake, swimming pools, pontoon/jet ski/tubing, sleepovers, and cookouts...
pink lemonade, relaxing, the beach, juicy hunks of fruit, flip-flops, shorts, Emerald Point {water park}, chit-chatting with friends and family...
late nights, catching fireflies, shopping, sundresses, evening strolls, and seeing life in technicolor once again.
Not only am I {very} happy that it is officially Summer break; but I was able to fix my itouch! <----Long story. To tell the story in a short way, apparently the passcode on my itouch decided to be strong willed and would not work. I tried multiple times to figure out my passocode, but nothing worked. I called Apple yesterday (and talked to a lady who slurred all. of. her. words) and finally solved the problem (with a bit of their help/my insanely awesome itouch skills ;)).
All of that to say, my itouch is now fixed, everything is deleted off of it, and I currently have one song ("Hair"...don't laugh...).

The Royal Wedding
Who all got up at 5:00 this morning to watch the royal wedding?! I have to admit, I did not get up at any crazy time to see the actual 'wedding' but I did turn on the TV and saw their kiss on the balcony.
Kate's dress is *gorgeous*
They make a lovely little couple!

And to celebrate the beautiful wedding, I created this:

Smitten Sunday - The Lake
Today, after church, my family and I went down to my MeeMaw's house to bring her some cookies (she had mouth surgery a few weeks ago). While we were there, I was able to capture some beautiful scenery throughout her yard.
It is especially fun in the Summer to ride her pontoon/jet ski...and go tubing!
^sooc
How have you spent your Sunday?
