hello & good-bye

As you have clearly noticed, bella vita hasn't been updated in a little over a week. Why?

My week in a nutshell...

<> Tutored in the morning and Tied up loose ends school-wise.
<> Home-school group and auditions for Annie Get Your Gun.
<> School.
<> School and callbacks for Annie Get Your Gun.
<> School and then two friends over.
<> Two friends over and then to the library.
<> Church & out to eat with my MeeMaw
<>  Tutored and finished school.
<> Home-school group and parent meeting for Annie Get Your Gun.

Yes, pretty busy week. The good news though, is that I got my first speaking role in the play! My character is Minnie, one of Annie Oakley's siblings. This will be fun.

How has your week been?

Good-night. ♥

hodgepodge

With much heavier work loads than I am used to, I have not had the time to sit down and blog. My apologies for leaving my dear little readers in the dark!

Instead of writing a post and grumbling and enlightening you about my woes and miseries about school, I will simply let you view some photos I have taken throughout the week.

one - a photo I took in the mirror of my vanity

two - my maui islands {aka fake sperry's}

three - milo

four - apples. I attempted to make hannah's apple cinnamon muffin recipe which resulted in an epic fail {I totally did not use gluten free flour...oopsie}.

five - cherry popsicles at my MeeMaw's house.

six - a view of the lake from my MeeMaw's dock.

seven - an accurate representation of what I look like on my last day of using Photoshop CS5.

What is a highlight of your week?

pausing

As you may have noticed, I haven't been updating Bella Vita very frequently. With larger and much more challenging work loads for school, it has been harder to update. Instead of blogging out of pure enjoyment, it has felt more like an obligation to blog.

All of that to say, I am going to take a break from blogging for a little while. I may update on the weekends, but rarely during the weekdays for a little while.

I hope you all understand!

{Feel free to pray for me and school too!}

farewell summer, hello high-school

It seems like yesterday that I was my little six year old self, eager to become a high schooler like the "big girls". I went to high-school football games at such a young age and got butterflies in my stomach as I eyed the cheerleaders with awe.

I always anticipated becoming a high-schooler and wanted so badly to have my very own phone, become a cheerleader, and get my driver's license. In my six year old mind, that was what high-school was. Getting to have privileges and do stuff like the big girls. I wanted to be just like them.

{back when I only wore dresses...literally}

Kindergarten and first grade passed. In second grade, I was pulled out of the public school system to be home-schooled (which I love!).
Grade after grade passed.
And...well...here I am. A freshman. Ninth Grader. High-schooler. The time is finally here and just to clarify, my mind thinks a whole lot differently than my six year old mind did. High school to me now is about loads of tough, mind-boggling work. Papers, projects, algebra, long and tiring days...

...But it's also about expanding my knowledge, digging deeper in subjects, improving in algebra, learning new things I had no clue about, exploring a whole new world.

Hello Summer 2011!

I seriously cannot express to you all how extremely ecstatic I was today when I finished my last math test {of the year baby!}. I feel this sense of freedom and this large weight lifted off my shoulders. Break is officially here and there is so, so, so much in store for this Summer! I cannot even begin  to explain all what I will be doing.

Summer consists of swimsuits...

the lake, swimming pools, pontoon/jet ski/tubing, sleepovers, and cookouts...

pink lemonade, relaxing, the beach, juicy hunks of fruit, flip-flops, shorts, Emerald Point {water park}, chit-chatting with friends and family...

late nights, catching fireflies, shopping, sundresses, evening strolls, and seeing life in technicolor once again.

Not only am I {very} happy that it is officially Summer break; but I was able to fix my itouch! <----Long story. To tell the story in a short way, apparently the passcode on my itouch decided to be strong willed and would not work. I tried multiple times to figure out my passocode, but nothing worked. I called Apple yesterday (and talked to a lady who slurred all. of. her. words) and finally solved the problem (with a bit of their help/my insanely awesome itouch skills ;)).

All of that to say, my itouch is now fixed, everything is deleted off of it, and I currently have one song ("Hair"...don't laugh...).

What do you plan to do this Summer?

Smitten With Summer

I don't know about you, but I am itching for Summer to come. Every year I try to pysch myself into thinking that Spring is my favorite season, but no...my favorite season is definitely Summer.

I love the mornings when I wake up and feel the crisp, cool breeze creeping through our open windows. I love gazing at the luscious green grass and hearing the sound of lawn mowers. I love the scent of honey suckles and vibrant flowers. I love watching sweet little birds splashing around in the bird bath. I love Summer.

I am fully prepared for Summer too. I have already purchased a {super cute} swimsuit from Lime Ricki Swimwear. If you need a swimsuit, I highly suggest checking out Lime Ricki. They have the most comfortable swimwear. Ever.

^Yep - that is my swimsuit! I actually have to thank the lovely Emily for suggesting Lime Rick to me!

I got a pair of sunglasses on sale for $4 at Cato. Now that's what I'm talkin' about baby! I *really* hope that these don't break like the past three pair I have had.

And what would Summer be like without a new pair of Rainbow flip-flops? These are by far the most comfortable sandals I have EVER worn.

And lookey-lookey, my dad's square foot garden has produced some lovely little onions! If you ever have any questions about organic square foot gardening, he's the person to ask!

And last but not least...

I am sooooo ready for June 3rd. Why? Because it is the last day of school for me! Whoo hoo!

What are you looking forward to about Summer?

P.S. A friendly reminder - don't forget to check out this {super short} post! Bella Vita is at 96 followers, only four  one more to go! Whoo hoo! Thank you to the people who have helped advertize, and to the new followers!

Rambles

Anna Gray on Polyvore? Really? No...

YES.

I can't believe it, I actually broke down and created an account on Polyvore. I have seen so many other bloggers who use it and thought, "That looks like so much fun!"

Therefore I present to you, my lovely readers, Anna Gray's Very First Polyvore Set...
Rain & Sun
I actually wore something very similar to that today. My sundress looks almost exactly like that one too! I really should have taken a picture. Oh well...
I have decided though, not to go on Polyvore too often, because it will make me crave unneeded clothing and I'm afraid I would start feeling ungrateful for what I do have.

My wonderful friend, Beth, made some delicious cupcakes today since it was the last day of Classical Conversations (the home-school group we go to). Talk about pretty + yummy!

Speaking of it being the last day of Classical, I have no more school work except for Math. Eeep! There are 123 Math lessons, and I am currently on 101. If I do a lesson for five days each week, I should be done by the very end of May (if not sooner). In comparison to what I did have as school work (Logic, Latin, Chemistry, Defeating Darwinism,  Literature, writing a short story) Math seems like a wimpy amount of school work!

Also...

If you guys wouldn't mind, my friends and I have to do a mock trial this coming Monday (April 25th) so if you guys could pray for us, that would be lovely. We (unfortunately) have to do it in an actual courtroom, in front of a jury panel and in front of a judge (no pressure, right?).

Sorry...

Hi everyone! So sorry I haven't been posting lately. I have had an extremely busy two weeks of school and I just haven't really had time to post. Not only am I busy with school, but with the extra things that go on throughout the week. Here is my weekly schedule...

Monday: I do a little school in the morning, then I babysit around 9:00 until noon.

Tuesday: I wake up at 7:00am, get ready, and then go to the home school group I am apart of. After about 6 and a half hours of class, I go back home.

Wednesday: Mainly a school day.

Thursday: Mainly a school day

Friday: Art class, school, and sometimes some extra things to do.

So as you can tell, I am usually pretty busy during the week. I probably won't be posting much during the school year, but I will try my best to post at least once to twice a week.

Oh, and does anyone have any suggestions for pulled shoulder muscles?...*cough cough*

School...

Who loves school??? NOT ME!!! Yuck, I started school today. I am home schooled and have officially started 7th grade today. I do a home school group once a week called Classical Conversations. I am now in Challenge A. If you wonder what Challenge A is, then you can click the link above.

My least favorite subject is probably math...I hate math. This past year was the worst year I had EVER had with math. I sure hope this year is better though. Well, my shoulders and back are extremely sore from carrying my heavy muscle pulling backpack.

Next time I will probably have a happier post. But for now....not such a happy post. :0(
