Onto more important things...

After fifteen years of moping around, I finally got to visit my state's capital. The beautiful, Raleigh, North Carolina.  My brother is on a mock trial team and that is where they competed.





And did I mention that they won the regional? Yes ma'am, they did! We were all ecstatic...Though I probably looked something like a zombie near the end of the night when they were announced the winner. 'Twas a long day, indeed...but a good long day.

Downtown Raleigh is oh-so-beautiful. And shiny. And you know that beautiful + shiny = lots of photos for Anna Gray to take.

You all would have fallen in love with this coffee shop. I was head over heels...

Because virtually everything was photo worthy.

This is probably my favorite photo that I took. Something about the contrast between the vibrant lights and the inky darkness makes me happy.

Mock Trial

Surely I would not have left you lovely readers in the dark, right? I promise I have not forgotten about you guys, it's just that I have had a very stressful, tense and nerve racking week. Yesterday evening, my Challenge B group and I participated in mock trial. And oh. My. Freaking. Gosh. I wasn't just a little nervous, I was utterly terrified. I was an attorney for Prosecution and for Defense I was on trial for supposedly murdering my husband.

You see, we had to do it in an actual court room, in front of a judge, in front of a jury panel, in front of 40 something spectators AND we had to do both the Prosecution and Defense (we would switch sides).

We did not win mock trial, but every single one of us on the team were very relieved. Some of the stuff that happened we totally didn't know would happen. Go figure.

However, I do think that it was totally worth doing it and I am glad that we had the chance to be able to participate in mock trial.

The judge also informed me that I look like Jodie Foster. Good deal.

Rambles

Anna Gray on Polyvore? Really? No...

YES.

I can't believe it, I actually broke down and created an account on Polyvore. I have seen so many other bloggers who use it and thought, "That looks like so much fun!"

Therefore I present to you, my lovely readers, Anna Gray's Very First Polyvore Set...

I actually wore something very similar to that today. My sundress looks almost exactly like that one too! I really should have taken a picture. Oh well...

I have decided though, not to go on Polyvore too often, because it will make me crave unneeded clothing and I'm afraid I would start feeling ungrateful for what I do have.

My wonderful friend, Beth, made some delicious cupcakes today since it was the last day of Classical Conversations (the home-school group we go to). Talk about pretty + yummy!

Speaking of it being the last day of Classical, I have no more school work except for Math. Eeep! There are 123 Math lessons, and I am currently on 101. If I do a lesson for five days each week, I should be done by the very end of May (if not sooner). In comparison to what I did have as school work (Logic, Latin, Chemistry, Defeating Darwinism,  Literature, writing a short story) Math seems like a wimpy amount of school work!

If you guys wouldn't mind, my friends and I have to do a mock trial this coming Monday (April 25th) so if you guys could pray for us, that would be lovely. We (unfortunately) have to do it in an actual courtroom, in front of a jury panel and in front of a judge (no pressure, right?).
